Overview
Method was charged with designing the entire experience and visual design for their new fiber cable and internet service.
Our team initially focused on the TV UI which encompassed the Service UI, Search, Guide, DVR management, Local section, Music, Photos, and Apps. After foundational designs were established for the TV platform, we extended the system to tablet and mobile.
The challenge was finding a model that was extensible to the kind of service Google was offering. In the end, we created a system that relied on simple patterns to create a comfortable feeling, yet still introduced subtle new interactions for this new market.
Role
I worked alongside a visual designer, creative director and additional interaction designer for this project. My responsibilities included defining the overall User Experience for core flows, the Information Architecture and interaction design for key functionality.
